St. Alban's Episcopal Church El Cajon

News from the Outreach Program for the Kenya Kids

Dear Joy,
Am always lifted in my spirit whenever I hear from you and Betty. It assures me how important friends are and brings back to my mind the lovely congregation of the St. Alban's church. Am equally saddened to hear the deaths of the ladies I knew and shared the love of Jesus with. When I realise they are with the Lord and will suffer no more, then I get comforted. The church is in my prayers in regards to the search for a Rector. May the Lord provide the very best. May it be a continous blessings from the far you have come to ways ahead according to the daily prayers. We visited the children with some four committee members to present the beddings and they were so overjoyed. You will be receiving letters of gratitude from them soon. Attached are some of the photos we took during the presentation and some from my family. You have helped me a great deal in helping give these kids a better life as well help them concentrate better in their studies. We are endeavouring to do what God has called us to do. Thank you for your future plans and thoughts for the Kenya Kids. My prayer to God is that He may keep you in good health. I developed some feet sores and this has hampered my movements resulting in achieving less than I had planned for for each day. Otherwise all is well with my family. Once the project accountant prepares the quartely accounts, I shall sent a copy to the church to see how the money was spent. May the planned vacation bible school succeed and both teachers and students enjoy themselves. Pass my love to you family and the church.

                             Love Always,

                                               Hannah

QUILTING LADIES OF ST. ALBAN'S

A small group of quilting queens meet every Thursday for 3 1/2 hours and use donated fabric to create items for the needy  of El Cajon valley.  So far they have made over 30 and are hoping to make 100 by the end of the year.
Debbie Comstock, the director of Little House in El Cajon is always happy to receive the quilts as she disperses them to families in need of some comfort in times of trial.  Anyone interested in learning the quick easy steps to scrap quilting, call Lou at 619-442-0191 and join us for a productive project.

Quilts are being blessed during our Sunday services
