OUR NEW RECTOR!

The Rev. D. Rebecca Dinovo
has been called as our new rector!
The Associate Rector
of Saint John's Episcopal Church, Worthington, Ohio,
since May 2004, Mother Rebecca has also served
there as priest-in-charge.
She gained her Master of Divinity degree
through the Graduate Theological Union in 1999
and Master of Anglican Studies in 2003.
She was ordained to the priesthood in November 2003
while serving as the Episcopal Campus Chaplain
at the University of Michigan.
Mother Rebecca enjoys writing, creating websites,
Franciscan and Celtic spirituality, animal welfare ministry, dancing, reading, and traveling.

Dear Friends of St. Alban's,

Thank you for a wonderful weekend of festivities with the Mother's Day Tea, crafts, and Pentecost Sunday...wow!  It is a blessing to be here.
Next Sunday we will observe Trinity Sunday and the ECW will have a bake sale following the service. Coming up this week we have Vestry on
Tuesday evening and ECW on Wednesday.

Announcements for week of 5-11-08:

To our Mothers: We celebrate and honor you today for living out your calling and vocation of motherhood to love, support, and raise your children,
grandchildren, and all the other "children" God has put into your life.  Thank you and God bless you!

Liturgy Changes: In the season following Pentecost Sunday, our liturgy will change from Easter season to "Ordinary Time" with liturgical and
musical changes starting next Sunday.

Thank you ECW: for all your hard work on the Mother's Day Tea and Crafts Bazaar!

Acolytes Needed! We have a critical shortage of acolytes we are down to about 4 regulars including our ever faithful acolyte director, Judy Brown.
 Please consider whether you may be called to this ministry and talk to Judy or Mother Rebecca. Acolytes can be adults of all ages and children
who are willing and able to carry the cross and/or torches in procession. We will have a training for current and new acolytes following the service
on Sunday, June 1.

ECW Meeting: Is this Wednesday, May 14 at 11am in the Parish Hall. Potluck following business meeting, all are welcome!

Vestry Meeting: This Tuesday, May 13 at 6pm in the Sunday School Room.

Update Parish Register: In an effort to update our new database and Parish Register we need some information from each member. Please fill
out the form that is inside the bulletin and place it in the basket in the  foyer.

Sewing Sisters: are looking for a few helpful hands to sew quilts to give to those in need. If you have some spare time and a sewing machine,
this simple work can be done at your home or with us on Thursdays from 8:30am to 11:30am at Lou Toth's home in El Cajon. This is very
rewarding ministry. Please let Lou know if you're interested.
